For many people traditional metal spoons can be too harsh for adults and elderly individuals on puréed diets, particularly those affected by strokes, dementia, or other conditions that make feeding more challenging.
For caregivers, mealtime can often be a balancing act between providing nourishment and ensuring comfort and safety.
We believe mealtimes should be safe and dignified for both the user and the caregiver.
Our Story
It started with someone I love.
Imagine caring for someone you love and realising, something as simple as feeding them has become difficult. As the caregiver to my grandmother, I saw first hand how challenging mealtimes could become. Making sure she was comfortable, safe and still treated with dignity was what inspired Gentle Cutlery Co.
